NEW ALBUM LAUNCH

The new Solstice album will be launched with a special show at London's Borderline on Sept 20th 2013.  'Songs For Gaia' is a conceptual piece and, along with live favourites, we'll be playing a 'one off' performance of the entire album. We've collaborated once again with iconic Marvel artist Barry Kitson who's created a series of images to tell the story and bonus material will include remixes from Steven Wilson. Another Steven Wilson Remix

Just got the best Christmas present of 2012...another remix from Steven Wilson! This time it's Return of Spring, also from our debut album Silent Dance. We want to thank Steven for another great mix. Once again he has stayed faithful to the original, improving on the tone and clarity and, in this case, realising the complete version of the song...the original having been edited to fit vinyl format.  We'll be including a hi res version on the new album along with Steven's remix of Earthsong. The Stables MK with FISH

We're looking forward to this one! On Monday May 27th we're opening for Fish at The Stables in Wavendon, Milton Keynes. It's got to be 30 years since we last played together....damn! Marrillion were very supportive to us in the early days, offering supports at the Marquee and helping us build an audience. In fact, I was in a band called Electric Gypsy with Mick Pointer, myself and the singer were fired (due to excessive consumption as I recall) and replaced by Steve Rothery and Fish...the rest, as they say, is history. Steven Wilson remixes Solstice

I bumped into Steven Wilson at our Underworld gig back in the summer and he asked if we still had the master tapes to Silent Dance, the album that includes a couple of his favourite Solstice tracks....Earthsong and Cheyenne. As luck would have it, producer Nigel Mazlyn Jones had recently sent me the very same so imagine my delight when Steven then said he'd like to have a go at remixing them. When it came to it the multi tracks for Cheyenne were incomplete but Steven went ahead with Earthsong. You can download the result here. We'll be including a hi res version of this great mix with the new album bonus material. Thanks Steven!!

Last night 15/11/12 Steven posted a piece on the Earthsong mix on his facebook page and within an hour it received 500 likes and an amazing 1200 by the end of the evening! Along with numerous favourable comments Steven has overnight introduced our music to a whole load of new people. What can I say?? Steven...we love and thank you!!
